Trail description

From the A87 just north of the Sligachan Hotel on Skye, a path heads across the moor and then straight up the very steep grass and scree slopes of Glamaig to its main top, Sgurr Mhairi (775 m), with views over the Red and Black Cuillin. The walk is 5.1 km out and back with about 710 m of climbing. The slope is relentless and loose, and the descent needs as much care as the ascent.
