Trail description
The Elidir Trail leaves Pontneddfechan and follows the wooded gorge of the Nedd Fechan upstream, level at first and then uneven with some steep ascents. It reaches Sgwd Gwladus, where the Afon Pyrddin drops about 6 metres over a lip of sandstone just above its meeting with the Nedd Fechan. Natural Resources Wales advises starting from Pontneddfechan because the Pont Melin Fach car park is closed.
