From the National Trust car park at Craflwyn near Beddgelert this walk passes waterfalls and climbs through oak woodland to the top of Dinas Emrys, the hill of the legend of Merlin and the sleeping dragon. On the summit are the remains of a square tower and ramparts of the medieval princes of Gwynedd. The paths are steep and rocky in places.
