Trail description

This section of the Dales Way leaves the National Park car park in Kettlewell, climbs through woods above Scargill House and follows the line of Swineber Scar across high limestone pastures above Conistone Dib, before descending through ancient pastures to Grassington. The Dales Way runs 78.5 miles from Ilkley to Bowness-on-Windermere, and this stretch is its higher level route between the two villages.
