Trail description

Cribarth, nicknamed the Sleeping Giant for its profile above the upper Swansea valley, is climbed by a concessionary path from near Craig-y-Nos Castle and its country park. The route rises across slopes scattered with old limestone quarries and tramroads to the broken summit ridge at 428 metres. Bronze Age burial cairns crown the high points, and the folded rocks are used by geology students for mapping practice.
