This 12.7 km stage of the Cleveland Way leaves Osmotherley and follows the northern escarpment of the North York Moors over Beacon Hill and Scarth Wood Moor to Scarth Nick, then climbs over Live Moor and Carlton Moor to Carlton Bank, a popular gliding spot. Rolling switchbacks along the heather moor edge with sweeping views over the Cleveland plain.
