Trail description
From the Buckden car park this circuit climbs Buckden Rake to Cray, crosses the stepping stones by the White Lion and follows a high traverse to Scar House before dropping to Hubberholme. Its church dates mostly from the 12th century, and the churchyard holds the ashes of J.B. Priestley, who called Hubberholme the smallest, pleasantest place in the world. The return follows the Wharfe through riverside meadows.
