Trail description
From the Dunster Steep car park beside the Exmoor National Park Centre, the walk passes through the village to the 15th century Gallox Bridge over the River Avill and climbs through woodland to Bat's Castle, an Iron Age hillfort with two stone ramparts on the 213 metre top of Gallox Hill. It returns along the wooded ridge past the Gallox hill fort earthwork and back down to Gallox Bridge and the village.
