Trail description
From the old Bala road below Arenig a reservoir track leads to Llyn Arenig Fawr and its small bothy under the cliffs, then a path climbs the open slopes to the 854 m summit of Arenig Fawr. The summit carries a trig point and a memorial to the crew of an American B-17 bomber that crashed on the mountain in 1943. The walk is 9.9 km out and back with about 560 m of climbing.
