Tokatlı Canyon Safranbolu

Trail description

A 3.7 km walk from the edge of Safranbolu north to the village of Tokatli, with about 85 m of climbing above the Tokatli canyon cut by the Hizar stream into limestone. Along the canyon at Incekaya, north of Tokatli, stands the Incekaya aqueduct, a six-arched stone aqueduct about 116 m long, first built in Byzantine times and restored in the 1790s. Next to it the Crystal Terrace, a glass platform 80 m above the canyon floor, and a wooden walkway in the gorge give views of the canyon.
