Sword Valley

Trail description

A 1.4 km walk in Kiliclar Vadisi, the Sword Valley near Goreme in Cappadocia, at about 1,070 to 1,110 m. Goreme lies at the heart of a network of valleys full of fairy chimneys and eroded rock formations, many hollowed out in the Middle Ages into churches and houses. As an early centre of Christianity, it has the most painted churches in Cappadocia.
