Trail description

A flat 1.6 km walk in Cesme, 35 km from Izmir, past Cesme Castle. The castle was built in 1508 under Sultan Bayezid II after Venetian attacks in 1472 and 1501; once on the shore, it now stands slightly inland because of silt, and houses the Cesme Museum. It has been on Turkey's tentative World Heritage list since 2020.
