Trail description
A 1.6 km walk with about 85 m of climbing from the Akhurian river up through the ruins of Ani, past the church of Tigran Honents, the cathedral and the church of St Gregory of Abughamrens. The ruined medieval Armenian city lies in Kars province beside the closed border with Armenia. Between 961 and 1045 it was the capital of the Bagratuni Armenian kingdom.
