Vumawimbi Beach Walk Pemba

Trail description

A 7 km walk from the Ngezi Vumawimbi Forest Reserve office at the northern tip of Pemba Island, first on the Toufik nature trail through the Ngezi forest, one of the last large stands of natural forest on the island, then on sandy tracks to Vumawimbi beach on the east side of the Kigomasha peninsula. The long curve of white sand backed by forest sees few visitors.
