Trail description

The first stage of the Umbwe route, 9.4 km from Umbwe Gate up the southern slopes of Kilimanjaro to Umbwe Camp at about 2,850 m. Umbwe is the shortest and steepest route to the summit, about 37 km over five or six days, and very physically taxing.
