Manabang Mountain (馬那邦山)

Trail description

Manabang Mountain, 1,406.5 m, lies on the border of Tai'an and Dahu townships in Miaoli and is one of Taiwan's Small 100 Peaks. The name comes from the Atayal village of Malapang on its southeast side. This trail climbs about 1.8 km to the summit, passing an old battlefield and the ruins of a military camp on the way. The forest is mostly broadleaf with many maples, which makes it one of Miaoli's best known spots for autumn colour.
