Trail description
Egongji Mountain, about 1,576 m, stands on the border of Wufeng in Hsinchu and Nanzhuang in Miaoli and is one of Taiwan's Small 100 Peaks. The Egongji Mountain Trail climbs about 2.8 km through forest to the flat summit with its triangulation point. A viewpoint on the south side looks down over Nanzhuang. The Hakka name is said to come from the mountain's resemblance to the comb on a gander's head, and the area lies on the boundary of the Saisiyat and Atayal lands.
