Trail description
Dulan Mountain, 1,190 m, is the highest peak at the southern end of Taiwan's Coastal Range, on the border of Yanping and Donghe townships in Taitung. The Dulan Mountain Trail climbs about 3.4 km through forest to the summit, which holds a first-class triangulation point from the Japanese era. The mountain is sacred to both the Puyuma and Amis peoples, and the Puyuma altar at about 2.3 km on the trail is said to mark the old boundary agreed between the two. Its shape earned it the nickname Taitung Fuji.
