Trail description

A three-day trek in Shei-Pa National Park from the Guanwu trailhead along the Dalu forest road (19 km, closed to cars) and up to the Jiujiu lodge, then over Zhongba ridge to the foot of Dabajian, the barrel-shaped rock tower sacred to the Atayal and Saisiyat, and on to Xiaobajian. Climbing the main tower itself is forbidden. A mountain entry permit, a park permit and a lodge booking are required; the route returns the same way.
