Baxianshan Main Peak (八仙山主峰)

Trail description

A 5.5 km climb of about 1,600 m from the Songhe trailhead in the Baxianshan forest recreation area to the 2,366 m main peak of Baxianshan, one of the steepest day hikes in Taiwan. The path climbs without a break through broadleaf and then conifer forest, with ropes in places. Start early and allow a long day for the steep descent on the same path.
