Weggis to Vitznau Lakeside

Trail description

A flat 5.5 km lakeside walk between Vitznau and Weggis on the north shore of Lake Lucerne, with almost no climbing. The path follows the shore below the Rigi past gardens where the mild climate lets palms and fig trees grow, and passes a memorial stone for Mark Twain, who stayed in Weggis. Both villages have boat landings on the lake, and cogwheel and cable railways up the Rigi, so the walk combines easily with a cruise.
