Trail description
A 2.6 km path on the Swiss Path between the Rutli meadow on Lake Lucerne and the village of Seelisberg, with about 420 m of height difference through forest. The Rutli is where, by tradition, the men of Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden swore their alliance in 1291, and the meadow can be reached only on foot from Seelisberg or by boat to the Rutli landing. Most walkers go downhill from Seelisberg in about an hour and return by boat.
