Trail description

The walk starts at Caux station on the Montreux–Glion–Rochers-de-Naye cog railway and follows the Via Alpina in reverse, climbing through Haut-de-Caux and past Liboson to the paragliding take-off at Sonchaux, then up the south-west ridge on a T2 mountain path to the 2042 m summit of the Rochers de Naye. The limestone summit looks out over Lake Geneva and the Alps of Vaud, Valais, Bern and France. A path leading east from the summit area goes to La Rambertia, an alpine garden opened in 1896 that grows about a thousand species of mountain plants. The walk is about 7.7 km one way, with some 980 m of climbing.
