Trail description

A 2.6 km walk of about 260 m of climbing on the slopes above Zermatt past the Riffelsee, a small lake at 2,757 m below the Riffelhorn, rising to about 2,810 m. The lake is reached from Rotenboden station on the Gornergrat railway, at 2,815 m. The lake covers only about 0.45 hectares.
