Trail description

The loop leaves St. Moritz station on the path through the Stazerwald to the Lej da Staz, goes round the lake and returns to the station past the Meierei and along the shore of Lake St. Moritz. The Lej da Staz lies at 1809 m in a clearing of the Stazerwald, whose Arolla pine, larch and spruce woods and moorland are protected. The lake is just under 5 m deep and fringed by fen meadows and reeds, and it is a popular, unsupervised swimming lake in summer. The loop is about 5.7 km, with some 165 m of climbing.
