Trail description

A 5.4 km walk with about 105 m of climbing along Lago Ritom into the Piora valley to Lake Cadagno. Lago Ritom has been dammed since 1918 to make power for the Gotthard railway. Lake Cadagno, at 1,921 m, is one of the few meromictic lakes in Europe and much studied by scientists.
