Trail description

A steep 4.3 km climb of about 690 m from Schwarzsee above Zermatt to the Hörnlihütte at 3,260 m, the base for climbers on the Matterhorn's Hörnli ridge. The upper part is rocky and exposed, with fixed ropes and metal stairs on the steepest steps. The hut is open in summer only.
