Trail description

A 4.5 km climb of about 860 m from Brülisau in Appenzell to the Hoher Kasten at 1,795 m. The summit, with a revolving restaurant, looks straight down to the Rhine valley and across to the Säntis and the Alpstein lakes. The cable car from Brülisau offers an easy way down.
