Grindelwald to Alpiglen

Trail description

A 5.7 km climb of about 660 m from Grindelwald through Grund and Brandegg to Alpiglen, a settlement of the municipality below the Eiger. Alpiglen and Brandegg are stations on the Wengernalp Railway, which opened in 1893 and runs from Grindelwald over the Kleine Scheidegg to Lauterbrunnen. The Eiger north face, one of the great north faces of the Alps, rises above.
