Trail description

A 23.4 km Via Alpina stage from the Engstlenalp past the Tannalp to Planplatten at 2,245 m, then down across the Hasliberg to Meiringen, with about 680 m of climbing and a long descent. The high part follows a ridge with views to the Bernese Alps; lower down the route runs on alp tracks and village lanes. It is a long day on the legs.
