Chinzig Chulm: Biel to Muotathal

Trail description

A 14.1 km crossing from the Biel cable car top station above the Schächental over the Chinzig Chulm pass (2,073 m) and down to Muotathal, with about 450 m of ascent and 1,450 m of descent. It follows the ViaSuworow, the cultural route on the path the Russian army of General Suvorov took over the pass in 1799. About an eighth of the way is on farm lanes.
