Trail description

A long 10.4 km climb of about 1,450 m from Sonogno at the head of the Valle Verzasca to the Capanna Barone at 2,172 m, just below the Lago Barone. The first part follows the Strada de Vegornèss, a valley lane closed to general traffic; the upper path is steep and rough (T3). A full day out and back.
