Trail description
A 2.1 km loop of about 90 m of climbing at the Bannalpsee, a reservoir at about 1,590 to 1,650 m on the Bannalp above Oberrickenbach in Nidwalden. The lake was created in 1935 to 1937 for the Oberrickenbach power station, behind an earth dam 181 m long and 30 m high. A cable car from Oberrickenbach serves the Bannalp, a starting point for the Chaiserstuel.
