Trail description
A 2.3 km climb of about 560 m from the Lombachalp to the Augstmatthorn at 2,137 m, the high point of the Hardergrat above Lake Brienz. The grassy summit falls steeply to the lake and looks across to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, and ibex often graze on the ridge. The slopes are very steep, so stay on the path, especially when wet.
