Allmendhubel to Grütschalp

Trail description

The walk starts at the top station of the Allmendhubel funicular above Mürren and follows the Mountain View Trail in reverse, down tracks and paths via Pletschenalp to Grütschalp station. The Allmendhubel, at 1907 m, has been served by a funicular from Mürren since 1912, and the trail offers a panoramic view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Grütschalp is the station where the cableway from Lauterbrunnen meets the metre-gauge railway to Mürren. The walk is about 5.1 km one way, with some 415 m of descent.
