Trail description

An 8.7 km climb of about 1,540 m from the Kebnekaise mountain station by the West Route up the Kittelbäcken valley and over stony slopes to Kebnekaise Sydtoppen, the glacier-capped south summit (about 2,090 m). It is a long and demanding day; the summit ridge is snow and ice that can need crampons, and the weather changes fast.
