Fulufjället Old Tjikko

Trail description

From the naturum in Fulufjället National Park the path towards Njupeskär branches off and climbs a rocky slope to Old Tjikko, a small Norway spruce whose root system has been dated to about 9,500 years. The tree grows on the edge of the bare fell plateau, and the path is rough and steep near the end.
