Pidurangala Rock

Trail description

A short climb of about 0.9 km from the Pidurangala temple, north of Sigiriya, up steps and a rocky path past the cave temple with its reclining Buddha to the summit viewpoints of Pidurangala Rock. The top looks straight across at the Sigiriya Lion Rock and is best at sunrise; a small ticket is paid at the temple, and the last metres need a short scramble over boulders.
