Dambulla Cave Temple Walk

Trail description

A short climb from the Golden Temple at Dambulla up steps and a path across the granite rock to the Dambulla cave temples, a UNESCO World Heritage site with five caves full of Buddha statues and painted ceilings. About 0.9 km out and back with some 70 m of climbing. Tickets are sold at the foot; cover shoulders and knees and take off shoes at the caves.
