Adam's Peak (Sri Pada) from Nallathanniya

Trail description

The Hatton-Nallathanni route is the shortest and most used way up Sri Pada (Adam's Peak, 2,243 m): about 5 km and roughly 5,200 to 5,500 steps from Nallathanniya (Dalhousie) to the summit shrine, with around 1,000 m of ascent. Most pilgrims start in the small hours to reach the top for sunrise; in the pilgrimage season the steps are lit at night and lined with tea shops.
