Trail description
The longest and wildest pilgrim path to Adam's Peak (Sri Pada), from Erathna near Kuruwita on the Ratnapura side, through the rainforest of the Peak Wilderness to join the Palabaddala path below the 2,243 m summit with its shrine of the sacred footprint. About 21 km out and back with some 1,950 m of climbing, steep and leech-rich. The path is used mainly in the pilgrim season from December to May; most pilgrims climb at night to see the sunrise from the top.
