Trail description

The walk starts at the Parc Natural del Montseny trail boards in Santa Fe del Montseny and climbs the PR-C 208 to the summit of the Turó de l'Home, where it ends beside the observatory compound. The Turó de l'Home is the highest mountain of the Montseny massif and lies in the Parc Natural del Montseny, part of the Montseny biosphere reserve that UNESCO declared in 1978. Its meteorological observatory was set up in 1932 by Eduard Fontserè, director of the first Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya, as part of the Second International Polar Year. The walk is about 4.8 km one way, climbing steadily all the way from Santa Fe to the summit.
