Trail description
From the Pont de Ressèc car park in the Valarties valley above Arties, the GR 11 follows a forest track to the Pontet de Rius, then a path climbs through pine and fir forest to the Restanca dam and refuge at 2,010 m. It takes about 2 hours with 625 m of ascent on a well signposted path without technical difficulty; public transport to the Pontet de Rius can shorten the walk by an hour.
