Pico Cabañas

Trail description

Short, steep official trail in the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park to Pico Cabañas (about 2,027 m), the highest summit of the Sierra del Pozo, with wide views over the Guadix-Baza basin to Sierra Nevada. It starts at a turn-off at km 23 of the forest track from the Puente de las Herrerías towards Pozo Alcón. The park gives 2.3 km one way, about 1 hour, high difficulty; snow and strong wind are common in the cold months.
