Trail description
A 2.1 km climb of about 250 m from A Guarda past the Castro of Santa Trega to the top of Monte Santa Trega, 341 m, above the mouth of the Mino at the south-western tip of Galicia. The castro, a Castro-Roman hillfort, is one of the best known in Galicia and has been a national monument since 1931. Rock carvings more than 2,000 years old show the hill was used long before the fort, and the summit holds the chapel of Santa Trega.
