Trail description
This loop starts at car park P4 in Riglos and follows the Camino del Cielo paths on a circuit around the conglomerate walls of the Mallos de Riglos, past the Mirador del Circo and the Refugio Roseta, before returning through the village. The mallos are sheer towers of conglomerate, the remains of ancient alluvial fans built from the erosion of mountains raised during the Alpine orogeny, and since 2016 they have been protected as part of the Monumento Natural de los Mallos de Riglos, Agüero y Peña Rueba. Griffon vultures, bearded vultures, Egyptian vultures, peregrine falcons and wallcreepers nest on the cliffs, and Riglos alone has some 200 climbing routes, most of them hard. The loop is about 4.4 km, with some 420 m of climbing.
