Laguna de Peñalara

Trail description

A 3.5 km walk of about 180 m climbing from the Puerto de Cotos to the shore of the Laguna Grande de Peñalara, a glacial lake in the cirque of Peñalara in the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park. In winter snow and ice are common and crampons or snowshoes may be needed.
