Trail description

A 15.6 km coastal walk on the GR 121 from Zumaia to Deba through the Basque Coast Geopark, climbing about 520 m over the headlands between Itzurun beach and Sakoneta. The cliffs expose flysch, thin layers of rock laid down over more than 60 million years, including the layer that records the extinction of the dinosaurs. The walk ends in the town of Deba.
