Trail description
The walk starts at the Font des Noguer car park beside the Cúber reservoir and follows the GR 221 along a water canal and over the Coll des Coloms, then descends to the Refugi de Tossals Verds. Cúber is an artificial reservoir whose dam was built in 1972, and together with the nearby Gorg Blau it supplies water to Palma. The refuge, run by the Consell de Mallorca at 525 m in the municipality of Escorca, occupies 19th-century houses on the public Tossals Verds estate and marks the end of one GR 221 stage and the start of the next. The walk is about 6.8 km one way, with some 135 m of climbing, and it drops about 300 m from its high point to the refuge.
