Trail description

The loop starts at the Sendero Cerrada del Utrero board by the park information point at El Valle, opposite the turn-off to Vadillo-Castril in the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park. It climbs beside the Guadalquivir into the Cerrada del Utrero, a gorge walled by tall limestone crags, passes the viewpoint over the Cascada de Linarejos and returns down a flight of steps. The Arroyo de Linarejos drops into the gorge in this waterfall, also called the Cola de Caballo. Griffon vultures nest on the crags, and holm oak, terebinth and mastic grow thickly among the rocks. The loop is about 1.8 km, with some 75 m of climbing.
